"Country Estates Of The Blue Grass"

Thomas A. Knight    Nancy Lewis Greene

Original 1904 edition

$250.00

Extremely rare pictorial book on the famous horse farms of Kentucky. Preface reads: For purpose of proving to the world that there is no more prosperous , no more beautiful country in the United States than Fair Kentucky; to prove that in this much abused State there is as much culture, as much wealth, as beautiful homes and more ideal home surroundings, than in any other State in the Union.

I will only name a very few farms as there are over 60 farms recognized in this book. The photos in this book are amazing and the main purpose of the book, there are only short stories on the farms /owners and famous horses the book is mainly photos of the beautiful estates and the famous horses that have lived there. Many farms have 5 pages or more of just photos. If there is a farm you are looking for please feel free to email us and we will check to see if it is in the book. Book is in good/ fair condition binding is tight . Over sized book measuring 9.5 x 12 with 200 pages in all.
